Clea Mae has been a Pilates instructor since 1999. She was certified by Element Pilates Studio (Paris) under the direction of Martine Curtis-Oakes. She received her initial training through The Ellie Herman Studios (San Francisco), a program that blended the classical East Coast approach with more contemporary principles.

Miss Clea has completed several advanced Pilates trainings including Jennifer Kries Balance NYC, Little Bridge (Prenatal Pilates) and continuing education through Pilates Method Alliance, The Kane School, Dance Education Laboratory at 92nd Street Y, and Stott Pilates. She is certified in Barre, Zumba level 1, Zumba Toning, Zenga, TRX, and Kukuwa African Dance Workout.

In 1997, she created “Motion Potion”, a fusion of Pilates, blended with and inspired by elements of yoga, sculpting, dance and isometrics. Motion Potion was created out of the strong belief that exercise and strengthening should be fun, and that laughter and enjoyment aid in the progress and success of any physical program.

Clea is a graduate of the Jamaica School of Dance, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and a former company member of the Caribbean Dance Ensemble. She holds certifications from AFAA in both Personal Training and Group Fitness Instruction.  She is currently working towards her Masters degree in Dance Education from Hunter College.  She has been featured in “Into the Gloss” as well as “Lucky Magazine”.
